Horizon Ready Hypervisor
Overview
This Program enables hypervisor product (software) manufacturers to work with Omnissa to ensure that their hypervisor products (“Partner Software”) are compatible with Horizon (in Manual Provisioning Mode).
As organizations increasingly adopt a diverse set of infrastructure platforms, there is growing demand for flexibility in virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) environments. To meet this need, Omnissa is launching a certification program for third-party hypervisors to certify with Omnissa Horizon using Manual Provisioning Mode.
This program is designed for hypervisor product vendors who want to validate the compatibility of their platforms with Horizon 8. Manual Provisioning Mode enables Horizon to broker connections to workloads that are provisioned and managed outside of Horizon's native automation capabilities such as persistent virtual machines or even physical desktops offering organizations the flexibility to leverage non-standard or unsupported platforms while still delivering a consistent end-user experience.
The Horizon Ready Hypervisor certification program supports enabling technology partners to certify their hypervisor products with the Omnissa Horizon product (in Manual Provisioning Mode), ensuring stable performance and supportability. Details of Manual Provisioning Mode are described here.
The program requires partners to execute a prescribed set of product certification test cases provided by Omnissa and submit results for review to Omnissa. Omnissa team will review and approve the results. Approved results will be posted by Omnissa team on Omnissa Horizon Ready Hypervisor Compatibility guide (OCG). This listing signifies that the product certification was successfully completed and the product is compatible with Horizon (in Manual Provisioning Mode) and supported by Omnissa.
Upon successful completion of the Omnissa Horizon Ready Hypervisor certification process, Partners can market and leverage the Omnissa Ready™ Horizon logo in their marketing and sales efforts. Omnissa-certified Partner Software is posted on the Omnissa Horizon Ready Hypervisor Compatibility Guide (OCG). This signifies joint support for end users that deploy certified Partner Software with Horizon (in Manual Provisioning Mode) solutions.
