Thin Client
Horizon Thin Client Architecture
Thin client end point solutions enable manufacturers to work with Horizon ensuring that their thin client end point solutions (hardware devices or software products) are compatible with Horizon platform solutions. This happens whether integrating the Horizon Client binaries or a custom client developed to the specifications. Horizon platform solutions include Horizon (On-Premises) and Horizon Cloud. Please note that this is a Standalone Program.
The certification program enables thin client endpoint solution manufacturers to work with Horizon to ensure that their thin client end point solutions (hardware devices or software product) are compatible with Horizon platform solutions. Horizon platform solutions include Horizon (On-Premises) and Horizon Cloud.
Horizon supports two client types: Omnissa and Custom. Horizon clients are pre-built clients for Microsoft Windows™ or Linux or Android and are distributed as binaries. Custom clients are clients which can be developed by the thin client end point solution partners based on the Omnissa XML API specification.
Upon successful completion of the Horizon Thin Client certification process and the execution of the applicable agreements with Omnissa, partners can market and leverage the Omnissa Ready™ logo in their marketing and sales efforts and gain the right to redistribute the Horizon Client software. Certified thin client end point solutions are posted on the Compatibility Guide. This signifies joint support for end users that deploy certified thin client end point solutions with Horizon solutions. Products certified with Horizon Cloud will be eligible for the Omnissa Ready - Horizon Cloud logo.
NOTE: From Horizon release 2006 and Horizon Client release 2006, certification with RDP protocol is no longer available in Thin Client Program.
